Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession focused on the diagnosis and treatment of health issues regarding the joints, muscles and nerves within the body. Chiropractic treatment primarily deals with the spine and how mechanical spine problems can affect the nervous system, as well as dealing with all other joints and muscles within the body. Ultimately chiropractors help to restore and maintain optimum functioning of the mechanics of the body.

Although chiropractors primarily use a technique called "adjustments" there are a variety of other tools used to decrease pain, inflammation and spinal dysfunction such as mobilisations, traction, acupuncture, activator technique, pelvic blocks, taping, soft tissue work (massage, stretching techniques), and more.

Alongside hands on treatment chiropractors provide tailored advice regarding and rehabilitation specific to your needs and to promote general wellbeing.

All our chiropractors are registered with the General Chiropractic Council and hold relevant insurance. You do not need a referral from your GP to see a chiropractor.

If you are suffering from an ongoing condition such as tight calves, or tense shoulders or if you have recently sustained an injury such as a sprain, then sports massage can help. Sports massages are also sometimes helpful for people that suffer from migraines and tension headaches.

Although “sports massage” gets its name because it targets injuries that are specific to sports, the treatment is not just beneficial for sportspeople. Sports massage can help if you are suffering from pain, or an injury, that is limited to a single part of the body.

Jon is the team chiropractor for Southend United Football Club, West Ham United Women’s Football Club and Southend Rugby Club.

Jon spent most of his childhood growing up in Dubai, but it wasn’t until he moved back to his home in Essex that he became aware of Chiropractic and saw first-hand the benefits to members of his own family.
